And we’re back with Inktober 52 today. Week 4 Prompt is Snake!
Wait! What about week three? I hear you asking. Well, I skipped week three. Sorry.
There are two reasons for this. First, I was busy (that’s also why today’s drawing is also a little late) but more importantly, the prompt was Brick and well, I kinda already drawn bricks the previous week and I’m not going to lie, when I hear “brick” the first thing that comes to mind is Lego and I already struggled greatly trying to draw Lego bricks last Fall with limited success. If I had had more time available, I could have challenged myself to try again, but I just couldn’t afford the frustration it was going to create along the way, even if I ended up succeeding.
So enough with last week and let’s see what this week has in store for us.
I’m pretty excited about this prompt if only because my very first Inktober drawing was indeed a snake.
You can check it out there:
And wow! I’ve really have gone a long way since that drawing.
I actually wanted to revisit this very drawing but unfortunately, I couldn’t find the picture I had used as a model. So I settled for another one.
Here we are (starting with the sketches):
And the final drawing:
I’m always a bit reluctant to show my models as it always underlines the shortcomings of the drawing, but if you’re curious, here it is.
OK, the next stop is Balloon! Stay tuned.
And remember that6 if you like what I’m doing, there are a few ways you can thank me.
