Sling (Inktober 2019 – Nineteen)

Today, I don’t have much time for Inktober, so for Sling, I drew the first thing that came to my mind: the primitive weapon. And luckily it’s also quite easy to draw.

Here is a very simple drawing of a sling. Wow, the fact that I can call a drawing “simple” kinda means that I’ve gone a long way since me deciding to try Inktober a bit more than a year ago. Nice. (However, note that I didn’t draw it from scratch, it’s inspired from a couple of drawings found on the internet).

Despite the fact that some people liked my experiment with a different shading technique (that’s closer to painting really), I’m not convinced it’s the way to go for me, at least for now, so we’re back to a technique I’m more familiar with. And yes, I know the shades don’t make sense in terms of the light source in the final drawing – just bear with me, OK?
