If you wonder what is the food item I miss the most from France when I spend extended time abroad (like recently, as I hadn’t set foot in my country in a little more than two years), my answer is without any hesitation: saucisson!
It is “just” dried sausage, but it is much more than that. It’s pretty indescribable if you’ve never had it, but just know that it’s one of the best food I know of, and sadly, it’s – to my knowledge – pretty much non-existent outside of Europe (although I had some once, in West Virginia, a long time ago).
As always, if you’re ever in France, do try it by all means…

Hi Karina, thanks for the kind word.
It’s hard to give you recommendations out of the blue like this, but if you have specific questions, do not hesitate.
Best.
Funny my sister lives abroad and the first thing she buy when back in France is saucisson (and real bread and “compote de pomme”)
LOL. You would too if you lived abroad.
Where does she live though, because “compote” is not that uncommon abroad (well, it depends where)
