Her name is Hana. She’s doing well. Mom too.
For some reason, this is the quote I have in mind right now:
The most terrifying day of your life is the day the first one is born. (…) Your life, as you know it… is gone, never to return. But they learn how to walk, and they learn how to talk and you want to be with them. And they turn out to be the most delightful people you will ever meet in your life.
Yesterday was not that terrifying. Today (and most likely tomorrow, and every day after that?) kinda is.

Congratulation! She’s beautiful.
Thanks.
Congratulations. Dadhood/ship/ness is a great gig, and while fathering children has some limitations, we get to be Dads for the rest of our lives.
Thanks.
Yes, while mothers always share a special bond with their kids, I’m so happy I didn’t have to through childbirth the way women do.
Oh my word, that is a really truly beautiful baby! Congratulations from the bottom of my heart!
Thank you very much Meridith. 🙂
Lovely face, great name (how to say “de saison” ? sorry…).
And great film too…
Cheers.
Thanks a lot.
For “de saison” you can simply say “in season” or “timely”
felicitations – elle est mimi 😉
Merci. 🙂
super!
:))))))
Merci beaucoup. 🙂
Congratulations isn’t a big enough word, but in English that’s all we have… Enjoy parenthood, for me it is a never ending awesome roller coaster ride full of constant excitement and thrills… and sometimes it make me want to throw up too. What a blessing to be a parent. Best wishes to for a long happy family life together.
Thanks a lot.
Yeah, the roller coaster ride thing. I think I’m starting to experience it already.
Merci, merci.
Her hands are amazing. It’s so nice to see she’s full-term (or beyond!) and looks perfectly healthy.
Actually she’s not 100% full term, she was due in a week, but she is perfectly healthy indeed (keeping fingers crossed)
Et bien, quelle jolie fleur en effet !
Félicitations à toi et à la maman !
Merci beaucoup. 🙂
Merci Anne Sophie,
Content de te voir dans les parages.
Vraiment belle ta petite Fleur!! Hana quel joli prénom 🙂 Toutes mes félicitations.
Merci beaucoup.
Félicitations / congratulations 😉
Merci / Thanks 😉
Sweet baby! Congratulations to you all. Now the fun begins….
Thanks.
The fun begins now indeed.
Baby is coming home tomorrow, i.e. tonight is my last full night of sleep before a loooong time.
Merci merci. 🙂
Yesterday, when you commented on that English spelling post, I clicked on your name to make sure it was the David I thought it was. That brought me to this blog and this post. CONGRATULATIONS on your baby! I’m so sorry I’m so late, but I always read your other blog, Ogijima. It’s my first visit to this one. I guess now I’ll have to add another blog to my list of regular reads. 🙂
I wish you lots of happiness with Aka-chan!
No problem. 🙂
And thanks a lot. 🙂
I created this blog a few months ago, as a “hub” for stuff unrelated to Japan or France and as such which doesn’t fit in my Japan blog or my France blog. 🙂
Wow David… She is absolutely beautiful. Sorry for the belated congrats. But CONGRATS…
My wife is due in July…number 7 for me.. phewww.
All the best to Mommy 🙂
Thanks Mike.
Wow, seven for you!
I knew of a few (three I guess), but I didn’t expect seven. Ha! Ha!
She is so adoreable. I hope 3 plus years later she is still doing amazing. Being a parent takes you a whole new plane in life and feeling of self worth and value.
Thanks Grant.
She’s still doing amazing, although she’s now a big brat, an adorable brat. And yes, becoming a dad, indeed, has changed me greatly.
