Getting Ready for Inktober 2019

And here we go again.

Inktober 2019 prompts have been published.

You can find them here:

Some are pretty inspiring. Some others… What am I going to be able to do?

As a reminder, I started doing this whole Inktober thing last year, when a friend challenged me to do it after I complained about everybody posting their drawings and making me feel bad for sucking at drawing.

The result?

I had a lot of fun doing it, and I even somewhat improved at drawing, and more important, it made me like drawing agin. For more insights into my approach to the thing, you can read these two posts:

Before starting:

I can’t draw, so I’m joining Inktober!

And after it was over:

Inktober 2018 – The End

So, yeah, I’m going to give it a shot again this year, although I don’t know if I’ll be able to finish it in a timely fashion, simply because I’ll be busier this September/October than I was last year.

We’ll see.

If you want more (official) info about Inktober, the official site is the place to go to.

While half the fun of Inktober is to draw stuff. The other half is to see how the same prompts have inspired other people.

Of course you’ll find a lot of them following the correct hashtag on Twitter and Instagram, however, there is a lot of junk to sort through sometimes, as it’s common for idiots to hijack popular hashtags these days (especially on Instagram).

My favorite place is the Inktober subreddit, very few people post junk there, and it’s easy to communicate with people, share other ideas and such.

OK, good luck everyone wanting to jump on the bandwagon like I did last year. Off to draw the first prompt, Ring!
