I don’t know about you, but I had no idea flying fish could be eaten until that day a few months ago, when there was one on my plate:
How was it?
Honestly, it didn’t leave a great impression as I don’t remember exactly. However, I think I remember that it had too many bones and it was too much of a hassle to eat and in the end, not really worth it (too many bones for a pretty bland taste).
Oh well, if you don’t try, you won’t know, right?

David interesting to see you have eaten flying fish.
Cest tres dommage you did not like it.
I had eaten them on barbados, its part of there national dish and i liked it very much.
No bones at all and it was coated with crusty batter with Bajan seasoning and then fried.
You ever been on barbados?
Well, it wasn’t so much that I didn’t like it, than the taste was pretty bland (and the bones too numerous).
We have so much better fish here, that I don’t really see the interest of eating that one.
Never been to the Barbados. The Caribbean has always been a destination on the top of my list and this since I was a kid, but somehow, I’ve never made it there.
One day hopefully.
