Another of those old postcards from the correspondence between my grandfather and this young woman his family hosted during World War One and with whom he must have had a relationship (that was before he met my grandmother in case you’re wondering).
The text on the picture says:
Que penser d’un aveu qui n’ose s’exprimer,
Sinon que votre coeur est tout près de m’aimer !
Which can be translated as: “What to think of a confession that dares not to express itself, except that your heart is ready to love me!”
