In my old postcards collection, there are a certain number of people pictured. I have trouble finding information about this, but I have the feeling that some of the people portrayed are the people who wrote the card. Did people in the early 20th Century went to photographers to have their picture taken and printed on a postcards? I don’t know. If you do, do not hesitate to give me more details.

However, it is obvious that the people on this card are models. And actually, if I don’t find it odd to send a nice picture of you as a postcard, especially at a time when it was still a quite rare thing to have your picture taken, I really find it odd to print and send such postcards:
